Sahman-Grenze-Kuş

Jasmin İhraç

The solo dance piece Sahman-Grenze-Kuş deals with my experiences in the ruins of Ani located at the border of Armenia and Turkey. It explores the historical impact of the landscape, referring to themes of border, tradition, traces and the transmission of memory. Through the play with different layers of presence and the combination of live performance with film material, the work intends to establish a dialogue between different media, temporalities and places.
